New bags

Remember when I made dimensional embroidered fabric from this book?Well I finally made something of it.Easies for me was to make simple bag.The strap is not good but will replace it ASAP.

I'm sawing lot of kids clothes,because they looked so cute in them,so I saved this Tamara's denim dress.The fabric was so beautiful that I had to make something of it.
Well, I made a bag.















It is large enough so they can use it for school if they like.

Here is another recycling bag.
We replaced curtains in bedroom,and this was leftover fabric.
I like this color so couldn't resist my self of making bag of it.












I like to go to the flea market,but you already know that.Bought this skirt(for less than 1$) only because I liked the fabric,well segments of it.






Few days ago I find some time and riped the skirt off.Can you imagine that I made a bag?

Easter rabit

On April 27th there was Easter in my country.
I made this bunny for my friend's granddaughter.
Pattern is free from "kill me I can't remember" what blog.

Fairy costume

Few weeks ago we went to visit some relatives.I decided to make fairy costume for their daughter.
Here is how it turns out.
I used some sheer fabric for the skirt,embellished it with ribbons and flowers,made wings with coper wire,and a wand wind free form embroidered star on top.
For the top I used t shirt and only added sleeves from same fabric as skirt.
Little girl (Milica) was so happy,I changed her in her new costume and she stayed like that all evening,trying to cast some spells on us.
She has big blue eyes so I made costume blue.

Portrait in fabric

I saw a book by Deidre Scherer-Work in fabric & thread....
What can I say ...I was so thrilled that I dare to try something like that..
Here is my attempt..
Tamara's portrait altered in PS and transfered to fabric.
I haven't finished it because in all my fabric stash I can't find right fabric for her hair.
Hope to finish it soon.

Ikon painting

This is St. Kirjak
I have painted this for my husband's relative.
St Kirjak is patron saint of his family.It is celebrated October 12th.
In our country every family has its own patron saint.
Father of the house celebrate this day as long as he is possible,after that his (usually) older son goes on celebrating it and so on...


Here is St.Nikola ikon,that I painted for my best friend.






My father's patron was St. Petka,celebrated in October 27th.(protector of the women),and as my father has no son,when he passed away my uncle (as younger brother) ,started celebrating it,and after him his son will.
It is nice tradition,whole family, relatives and neighbors comes and celebrate (you know with food drinking,etc).
Host prepare all nice foods and drinks for this day.(You can see the picture that I made on my uncle's celebration last time).
Some people are preparing all year for this day,and there are different customs (depends on what part of country you live in).
Here is St.Petka that I have painted long time ago (it was second ikon I made,first was for my uncle).

Painting

My sister Maja bought me acrylic paints for my B Day in January,so I decided to use them finally.
Bought few ugly pictures in Dollar shop (only because they were painted on canvas frames),somehow scraped and whipped original paintings and painted them with gesso.
Than I painted my pictures on them,and here are results.
In some of them you can see Suzi Blue influence but that is because I like how she paint.

I like Frida so I have made these two in honor of Frida.






























This one is my daughter Ivana's portrait.
She has this golden shine in her hair.

Wana be Blue Fish

As I previously said I like Blue Fish designs,and I saw dress that I like,so Decided to make one like that.
My friend was pleased to pose for me in my new dress.
It is not looking that good at the picture,but I love it.
I also made wide legs pants (dark red) to wear under it.
Once I will ask Ivana to take picture of me wearing it together.

Long time no post

Once upon a time I have posted something to my blog,and than there was a silence...

I had winter blues I think,cause I didn't feel like doing anything...well,not any anything,but not as much as I'm used to.

I have taken pictures of the things I have made since than and will upload them ASAP.
